Where is the surf store?+
We meet at the surf store, black double doors, in front of the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification, University of Dundee. Meeting times depend on the surf conditions. What3Words: rides.widely.spines

The club supplies transport for our surf sessions. We split the cost of fuel between everyone travelling, which is usually around ÂŁ2 per person per session.
What do I bring to a surf session?+
Swimming costume, towel, warm clothes, maybe some snacks and good vibes!!
Do I need to buy a wetsuit and surfboard?+
NO! The club has foam boards for beginners as well as shortboards and longboards for more experienced surfers. We also have wetsuits, hoods, boots and gloves that members can borrow during sessions.
Can I join even though I don’t know how to surf?+
YES! Most members start having never touched a surfboard before. We run beginner-friendly sessions throughout the year, including sessions at St Andrews and Lost Shore.
Is it only surfing?+
NO! We host weekly Thursday socials, ranging from themed nights out to more relaxed socials like bowling, movie nights, quizzes and plenty more.
Are there any club trips?+
Yes! Our major annual trips include Newquay for the BUCS Surfing competition and our winter holiday surf trip, usually lasting around a week somewhere with warmer weather and good waves. We also run other trips throughout the year, including Thurso for more experienced surfers.
Where do I get information about trips and socials?+
We post details of weekly socials and surf trips in the DUSC WhatsApp Community and on our Instagram. Organised events and other updates may also be included in our newsletter.
I’m worried about the wellbeing of myself or someone else in DUSC. Who should I speak to?+
Please speak to our Wellbeing Officer, Nayel, with any questions, concerns or worries relating to DUSC. If something more serious arises, we’ll work with you and involve the Sports Union or other appropriate support where needed.
Do we get surf merchandise?+
Stay tuned! DUSC usually releases things like trip tees, surf fleeces, hoodies and even joggies, designed by our own Merchandise Officer.
How do I get my Firewater pass?+
